We live in a big universe.
We serve an even bigger God.
But in the midst of our day-to-day activities, it is easy to lose sight of that. It is easy for our world shrink and close in around us. It is easy to shut God up into a box, making Him after our image instead of living as a reflection of His.
So Imagination Investigation pushes back.
I have hand-selected what I feel is some of the best of contemporary Christian fiction in order to deepen the love of reading…to broaden perspectives through walking in another’s shoes for a few hours…to provide a springboard for discussion through stories that grapples with difficult issues…to challenge the mind through novels that cause the reader to think…to stretch the boundaries of imagination with good science fiction and fantasy.
But fiction can only do so much. We must also train ourselves to think rightly. Otherwise we might just stretch ourselves right out of the boundaries God has given us.
To this end, I also provide a variety of non-fiction resources: Curriculum to teach your high school student discernment, essays on common questions about fiction, booklets for parents on training your children to handle media well, and book lists for your voracious readers, among others. I also teach on many of these same topics.
And so by stretching minds, expanding horizons, and deepening theology, you are enabled to live to the fullest within the expansive boundaries God has given us.
